THE PROCESS OF MOVING OVERSEAS AS A MILITARY SPOUSE 1

I just got done from what's called a courtesy clearance at Travis Air Force Base basically. What that is is it's one of the final steps. When trying to transfer overseas. Because I'm a dependent. I have to go through the process of getting my medical records in from the previous two years going and meeting with a doctor I'm. I met with a doctor at Travis at the David Grant Medical Center. That just whole thing was sort of confusing just. Even making the appointment was really difficult.

I was on the phone with him for about 20 minutes and kept getting redirected everywhere so Stephen had to call make the appointment. He made it within like five minutes so. I made my medical appointment and my dental appointment on the same day they're in the same building but I ended up having one eye like 8:30 in the morning and the other one at like 2:00 cuz. I just wanted to get them done as soon as possible so with the medical. One I actually ended up. They so they assigned. Me a doctor and it was really weird. Because she was really confused as to why I was. One of her patients. She said she usually deals with like elderly patients and like a handful of active service members which I am NOT so.

She was still able to fill out my paperwork and after. That they directed. Me to what's called the EF PM office. That is the office. I am supposed to basically give them all of my paperwork. They actually gave. Me a checklist of everything I needed and I lost the list but I have. It on my phone so. You need your DD Form 2729 on your 1466 and 1466 D which I think the 1466 is the dental your DoD ID card and a copy of your spouse's PC pcs orders. I don't really see them pay much attention to that but it's good to just have. It anyway so. That was basically. Everything that I needed to hand in to them in order to do the courtesy clearance today so the courtesy clearance. They have one every Wednesday it's 15 minutes. I got done within like for my appointment. What was that 115 and I got out of there at 119 so. It was really fast. They went through my medical records um. They asked me like a handful of questions and that was. It and I think.

It doesn't go. That easy for everyone they're really just looking to see. If there are. Any special needs. That they'll need to take care of especially going overseas. They saw on my records. That I used to have asthma and that. I were to have had. Now like any asthma attacks recently. That probably would have affected. Me a lot so yeah that's pretty much what I've been having to go through in order to to be transferred overseas the reason. This is because. I had no idea. What I was getting into. I don't think. Anyone really does until. They get into. It and I think. This would be helpful for someone who is going through the process and going overseas isn't easy with every step. That I take. More information is given to me like.
